alright, im heading out to utah with my dad in a week for a short trip. we're only going to have 3 ski days, maybe four and we bought some package that gets us lift tickets for the whole trip at alta, snowbird, solitude, and brighton. i was just wondering how you think we should spend our days there. i dont want to ski park that much while im there, only about 15-20% of the time maybe. whats the conditions look like now and is there a chance of us getting some snow? yeah, but maily which 3 mountains should we ski?
where whould i spend the three days though? i still want to ski some steeps and whatnot even if theres shitty snow. is there atleast around 100% coverage with all trails open?
I just got back from Utah this week and it was really HOT! The snow is melting fast. Alta was great. Snowbird was very icy but ok. I really liked snowbasin a lot. There wasn't a lot of people and the terrain was fun and somewhat difficult. I wouldn't go to brighton because it was the first place I have ever been to where snowboarders out numbered skiers. It was packed on a tuesday, and the people sucked. Have fun and good luck with the snow because its going fast.
Alta and snowbird have sick all mountain terrain and its pretty fun when it softens up. Brighton also has some good terrain but the best park of them all. Get ready to ski a lot of slushy steeps and a snowboard oriented park.
i shredded alta on thursday and it was maaaad crusty and icy but it sofened up a bit riiight before 4pm. id assume snowbird will have the same snow conditions as they are right next to eachother (their park looked kinda weak.. only a few boxes and some small jumps)
as for brighton... i was there today. it was real soft in most areas. they have some good terrain, but nothing as good as alta. their park was aight. jumps were small and they had some fun rails and boxes.
