where in the east should i be able to find the best park for next weekend. mostly looking for good rails and good flow, also some nice jumps to. any details could help. thanks
probably somehwere in vermont, all the ones in nh and maine are all sucky now, sunday river has no snow and all the rails are sketch. attitash was ok last weekend but im not sure now after this weather. i'd check out killy or mt snow?
killington has a good flow through park, but i'm not sure how much snow they've got. and i ski at sunday river, and we've still got plently of snow. we just got more than a foot. and they built a huge step up.
stratton is always sick and they have the U.S. Open for snowboarding this weekend and I think the VT open is next weekend so it should be sick. Suntanner has good flow and nice jumps
stratton should be pretty sick, idk how suntanner is going to be though, they just demolished the jump line to put in that huge jump for the us open. you might wanna check out okemo, they just had that super slopestyle so their park is probably pristine
heres the deal. we just got a nice storm, i stayed in burlington n went to jay yesterday n skiied a fresh 2 ft of pow(very sick mtn, i love going there). killy was supposed to get over a ft, same i think with mt snow. ive seen threads on stratton having a nice park too. loon, waterville, n sunday river usually also have nice parks, but i personally wouldnt have any idea cause i never make the trip up. any of those places are gonna be ur best bet. also okemo, i dunno how its been this year but i saw vids from last years park n it was sick. killy's flow is very nice, 5/6 jumps all in a row, no hucking or turning necessary, just go straight n its perfect speed. to start there are 6/7 rails/boxes all setup nice too. that was 2/3 weeks ago. it got warm last week but they just got snow so im sure itl be nice for next week. its supposed to stay just under/at freezing temp this week n then warmer next weekend so it should be nice. killy would be my choice.
it seems like most mtns other than mt snow have been doing well with what they have. snow is kinda fun to lap through and hit like the 3 things that are actually hit-able, but if you want to hit some more legit stuff take your bizznass elsewhere. i'm goin to loon this week in search of some better jibs... hopefully that works out.
don't do that to yourself, especially if you're just looking to ride park... you're from CNY so i'd say head to VT, but if you're down for the trip, Loon and WV will be worth the drive
haha weren't you just talking shit about it in our cult? dude sunday river will be nice this weekend because the lazy ass park rangers should fix all the lips in a week. THey really sucked today though but usally they have some pretty nice ones. But they need to dig there shit out too. the rails and boxes that are usally 4 feet of the ground are only 2 tops. ITs really annoying. THe danger factors kind of gone.
killy for jumps, ok rails; stratton for overall good features/jumps, but expect bigger rails; mount snow to dick around in cause its not the best this year....idk just dont go to jay cause that park sucks monkey ass
yea im mostly looking for a place with alot of nice jibs. some fun features and jumps. but mostly rails and whatnot. big boulder seems nice but i head everything is extremely sticky
