during the wsc i saw pep (at pipe bottom) riding k2 race skis only they were mounted backwards for switch ripping only! im not sure if this is thread worthy but i thought it was pretty funny to see in person!
what is so unlikley about it. Its actully very likley knowing pep! Anyways I didnt make that up, ask anyone who rides PC on the daily and im sure they've seen pep do crazier things!
i've had an idea for a binding that i have been thinking about patenting, that instead of just having htem stationary you can switch them around so if you mounte the ski center you can switch them around and it'd make shit better, either that or make a binding that alows you to reverse load.. aka put your bindings on backwards... anyone think this'd be sick? cause i'm starting a business some time soon and i think i may do the whole hting, like solomon, and rossignol
damn, i've been talking about doing that for years. i've just never been able to procure a free pair of race sticks. oh well, i'm sure pep is wearing it better than i would.
actually skiing switch on skis that don't have a twin isn't really that hard. Skating wouldn't really be a problem either.
As far as starting a trend......that would mean you would have to up you're quiver quite a bit. Skiing w/o poles is easy to do because it doesn't cost any extra money. Skiing with backward bindings is going to cost you money.
