Replying to Apec
So in march Apec is coming to town (apec is the asia pacific economic cooperation council)
I work at the four seasons in sydney where they are having the meeting and most people are staying.
now we have pretty much all the leaders of asia and the pacific from the french goverment to george bush, japan china and all those people basicly the guys that run the world,
we just had a briefing from a bunch of secret service agents on what is excpected of us on the presidents arrival which means no eye contact with any memebr of the secutrity detail or staff, no check-in no staff to be in the kitchens or service lift, a bunch of my friends that work in the kitchen have to go through secet service guys that taste the presidents food before they bring it up. and we al needed background checks and any little thing including traffic violations needed to be explained in full. all staff also must have a security check each morning and have traking cards with them at all times while at work, oh and they have 3 floors booked for him and his aids and security tem however after looking at the allocation the top floor and the bottom floor will be vacent oh and i forgot to mention he does not want any staff member to be in sight of him during his daily trip from his room to the service elevator to the lobby and trough to the confrence rooms and during breaks, all food is to be served in his room by his staff, he will not even eat with his fellow leaders in the reastraunts.
its kind of intresting because the japanese prime minister Koizumi Junichiro, will also be there and has stayed with us before and i have had the honor of being his hotel liason officer and spent 3 days with him which is awesome, and all i had to do was have a background check, plus he gave me a autographed sake set and some bonsai which is ment to be cut from this holy big bonsai which is the oldest in the imperial gardens or something crazy like that, but the dude was chill oh and i got a christmas card from him last year which was awesome, hand written and everything
so most of you i guess would say who wants to kill the jap guy they are no major leaders in the world, however another person who has stayed with us before and probally does want to be shot or killed by a fair few people would be the english prime minister, who again had a few security reqests but not something so drastic as having workers wear tracking devices.
so im stoked i get to work during such a important yime for my hotels reputation and i am not political at all so i could not ive a rats ass about him, but why does he have to make work such a pain in the ass for me and the people i work with.
wow really to long my bad.
