also considered the 180 super model but i think the softer 187 will be more fun forward mounted

i owned the 180 super model. i loved it so much. totally killed it bombing steep shit, torn up pow, big bc jumps, park, mach looney on groomers, anything. the 187 msp is gonna ski pretty similarly but just a bit more heavy and deliberate feeling. the scratch is sick, but if you're really going to be charging it, get one of the msps for sure.
also, how tall/heavy are you? that could dictate which ski to choose.

go the msp's stiffer and a smaller company. Support the smaller core company.

The Scratch Bcs of past seem to me to be fairly soft. I like to think of them as big glorified park skis, not that there is anything wrong with that, but not really a charging type ski, although they are a great all mountain ride. Just seems the msp be may be more of what you are looking for.
