how about acryllic? how does that work? it's a little cheaper than lexan.
And what about LDPE (Low density polyethylene). It's barely any cheaper than HDPE, but it's still a few bucks that could go towards somthing else, how does it slide?

ive tried out some of the outdoor grade pvc (i dont know if thats what it is called) and its held up pretty well. Def a little better than jsut the standard white pvc. i got this stuff at homedepot its the gray kind and it seems to be holding up better. So if u dont wnat to spend that kind of money on hdpe or lexan i would check out that kind of pvc

composite decking wood. it's like a plasticy type wood you can get at any menards or home depot or lowes. it slides really nice, i have it on my box.
