Dude if they directly translated it from Latin, from that time period it would be more incoherant than "all your bases are belong to us."
the "blot out he sun" thing was actually said, but by a captain called Dienekes. He wasn't in the movie though, he was suposedly a badass who just made fun of the emperor all the time.
Haha did you know that the ENTIRE movie was shot in a warehouse in montreal? Except for one scene with horses in it, which was shot just outside the warehouse.
Tell me was there 500lb. fat guys with swords for arms, Zombi monkey guys that actually fought in a war against Sparta, the story line may fallow what the OG story was in latin but there is certinly fiction placed into a actual event here.
obviously there was a bunch of fake shit in it...its a hollywood movie thats based on a graphic novel. besides the fake and embelleshed characters and fight scenes etc they stayed fairly close to the actual accounts of what happened
i couldnt help but say "preeeccciiooouuusss" when they noticed they were being followed. Also the sex scene with the queen i burst out laughing when they switched to doggy style.
Such a sweet movie. I saw it with my dad and I loved the constant battle scenes. Who gives a shit if it wasn't historically accurate. It is for entertainment. Anyways the only thing I didn't like was the blood. There was so much of it but it was all computerized meaning the ground was perfectly clean during the movie.
