Ever heard of him? Probably not. He's an amazing bassist out of Philadelphia. I highly recommend his "Live at Tonic" album to absolutely everyone. It's an amazing fusion of jazz, hip-hop, r&b, funk, and rock. He has a bunch of guests perform with his band that consists of keyboard (Geoffrey Keezer), saxophone/flute (Ron Blake), drums (Terreone Gully), and himself on bass. On this album, his guests include guitar players, piano players, a violin player, a DJ (DJ Logic) and a beatbox (Scratch). This guy is amazing, and more people need to know about him. I got the chance to see him this past week, and he had a solo that completely blew me away. Check out this video of him:
