in open wood stairs you stick the tails in between 2 low stairs and bend them over and stick the tips in between two higher stairs leave em there for 2 weeks

Yeah if that even worked they would have no flex left. I would think it would just kill the flex and not even give u reverse camber.

No, it's been done, and it works. You can fuck your stairs or skis up if you try too much camber, but it works.
If you think it dosen't work, you're wrong.
Case in point, the thread on TGR. Find it yourselves.

That's silly, considering you get a lot of ollie power from camber..... and ollie power is everything when it comes to urban.

if you think negative camber is ANYWAY close to what you want for urban jibbing then you are a fool.
Allright kids Im going to set things straight here for all you urban jib tards.
Negative camber is STRICTLY for skiing powder and deep snow. Not for Park, not for pipe, and DEFINATLEY NOT FOR URBAN JIBBING.
I dont want to see anymore comments on jib skis and negative camber. period.

You are fools, reverse camber isn't something for everyone, it rides totally different than anything else, and it definitely not a good idea for urban, but if you wanna try it, be my guest. Another problem, however...is that the skis used in that thread on TGR were the Atomic Powder Plus, which has a sheet of metal in it that allows it to keep a shape when bent. Most park skis don't have any such thing, so you won't even be able to create reverse camber in them.

don't do it... that would create so many cracks in the fibreglass. Skis are meant to keep their camber.

i agree that reverse camber on anything but a powder ski is stupid but you need to lose the smarterthaneveryone attitude

dont use the stair method if you have a cracked edge

I'll agree that for urban it doesn't seem to make any sense, and pipe too. but in the park pep and andy have pretty much proven that it can have a place. although the hellbents theey use are rockered, with a normal camber under foot so they aren't as unstable. the stair method would probably make them basically impossible to balance on in the park. you do have a point that using the stair method to reverse teh camber of your urban skis is pretty dumb, but there's probably a lot of stuff these 'urban jibtards' could teach you too so quit actin like you're all that and a bag of chips.

people need to realize, that skis are built a certain shape, with camber. the entire process of designing and building a ski is to keep it returning to its origional shape. you simply cannot bend a ski and expect it to work. sure, you may be able to destroy the grains in your core and crack the fiberglass so its reversed camber, but the flex is killed. zero return, no pop.
bottom line, dont do it expecting very good results.

i underrotated a backflip and dug my tips of my assassins into the ground ounce. they didn't snap but were permanently bent upwards...it was badass.

What skis are you riding in the park that are reverse camber?

That seems like the opposite way they would bend if you underrotated a backflip, if the tips dug into the ground how did they bend up?
