does anybody know what my penalty will be for having 15 points on a junior operators licenses? i am 17 and have had my license since june. i know i will loose my license, but for how long? i know for 6 points or a 3 point ticket its 3 months, and i have a 2, a 5, and an 8 point ticket.

how the fuck did you get 15 points dude? it depend when you got the tickets but it might be gone for a while.

You can only get a 8 point ticket if you run from a cop...

With 15 points you'll loose your license for 45 days.

its not 45 days, i know, because i only have my junior operators license. its at least 90 days, i know that. i got a 2 point ticket for "driving to fast for conditions" and i rolled my car, and totaled it last summer. i got a 5 point ticket for going 65 in a 40, and an 8 point ticket for going 63 in a 25.

That's for WV, I doubt it's much different than Vermont..

yeah i think its the same for a regular liciense,  its 10 points = 10 day suspension
15 points = 30 day suspension
20 points = 90 day suspension

but im not 18 yet, so i dont have a regular liciense, i have a junior operators licenses, and it says that,

Learner's Permits and Junior Operator's licenses can be recalled for the following reasons:

  • A speeding violation resulting in 3 or more points
  • A total accumulation of six or more point
and i have 15 points with a junior operators license

ha yeah i know. the worst part is, i totally deserve it too. but at least last night when i got the ticket for 63 in a 25, i slammed on my breaks when my radar detector went off because i was going 90.

uhh ya the cops and my parents explained that to me, but it was 2 am, there shouldnt have anybody in the streets, and there wasnt, except for the po-po

Dont people in Vermot have curfews? These kids stole my car one time and they were out at 3am and the cops pulled them over because they were out passed curfew and realized it was stolen.

for the first 6 momths i think you have one, i acualy never heard anyone say we did, except my mom told me it was like 11 or somthing, but shes the only one i ever heard say that, but after 6 months, i know there is no cerfew

I'm 99.99% sure if your under 18 you have a 1am curfew or somthing like that.

Does it have to be paid in full??
I was wondering because when I got my second ticket under graduated licensing, I was going to be over the limit of points and have to restart the whole 2 year thing - since I had gotten another ticket like a year prior.  So, i was told that the points only go on record once the ticket is paid in full.. so I dragged it out the payments like 6 months until I had my full drivers license.

that's what I did.. i plead not guilty, the court date was really late.. when it came time to go to court, i was lucky that they had a full docket that day and since I plead not guilty they set another date.. it got dragged out until I finally had my full license and the points wouldn't set me back another 2 years.
It's totally worth it for you to plead not guilty if you're close.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Just go in to court and ask for an extension.

Yah, no curfew in VT
I know a kid that got a small ticket 2nd day he ahd his license and he lost it for 6 months... I think you might be kind of screwed.

ya thats what i was thinking, if nothing i will prolong me losing my license. i turn 18 in july and can get my full license 6 months after feb (another ticket i got) but i donno if i can prolong it till august. and if i cant, i want to loose my license asap so i can have it back for the summer
