no the spartans were the most savage and wore the red. It's misleading to say 300 because in reality it was about 7,000 greeks (including the 300 spartans) in the first few days. The last day was left to just the 300 and 1,000 Thespians who fought and died bravely beside the Spartans. The Thebans (known for their homosexuality) surrendered to the Persians that final day.
I was wondering the same thing. Do they show the other 10,000 Greeks that fought the first two days, or is it just the 300 Spartans that died the third day that are shown?
I went in, gave them my pre-bought ticket, and they declined me because I wasn't 17. I was with like 8 other friends and one mom. They let them all in except for me. So I thought fuck it, I might as well see Wild Hogs. So I bought a ticket for Wild Hogs. I am about to walk into that, and I drop my ticket. Then some 17 year old cleanup dude picks it up and goes "Is this your ticket?" and I say "yeah" and he says "I'm sorry sir but you can't be back here unless you have your ticket. I'm going to have to ask you to leave"
What sucks is how they were letting 9 year olds into 300 without parents, but a fucking 16 year old couldnt even get into Wild Hogs.
so I had to wait in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours while my friends watched the greatest action movie ever.
Yeah it won an award...BEST MOVIE EVER MADE. Seriously this movie was fuckin amazing so much death...but a gay God King? that was kind of weird. But still it was a sweet movie. Go seee it!
yes thats true for some of them but in Spartan society it was frowned upon, too much emotion. I think they married their wives by stealing them and raping them and that sealed the deal. hahaha
you couldnt be more wrong. spartans were more known for their "boy -loving" than most other greek states. the reason for thios is it created a bond betwween the soldiers and taught them to bestow faith in their fellow soldiers.
it was really good except, i though it was overdramitized, i felt there was soo much tension without the characterial substance behind it....like the speech the queen made, i had to chuckle haha, also i think there should have been a finer line betweek reality and fantasy, the best aspects of the movie were when they got close to the boundry, but didnt overstep it (like the prophet sequence and the character of xerces....those were the best parts of the film....but when they overstepped the boundry, it made it look stupid (like that guy with blades for arms, and the other guy that the kinf cut off his head, and the one spartin was sooo deformed, it looked ridiculous)....but overall it was filmed really well (almost exactly like sin city) and the world they created was really creative and took a real new perspective on history...its basically the movie ive always wanted to see as a 12 year old haha.....overall soooooo sick tho
Such an ill movie. Found it weird they me in, theyre ussually dicks at the theater I went. Seemingly, there was a group of like 5-6th graders 2 rows in front. There must be something about that, I mean theres a decent ammount of above-waist nudity, and theyre letting like 5th graders in. Sure they've all seen porn but this movie definetly had more sex-style scenes then ur average rated r for murder movie.
