its not really for skiing its for like racers right before they go down and they are in their down hill suits so they cant wear there jacket so they wear that masssive one

If it's the new salomon outerwear that part drops down. It's a regular length ski jacket, with an extra like 8 - 12 inches that you can unfold from the inside to make it a trench jacket casual wear type thing. Pretty sick if you ask me.

And after looking at it is is exactly that. The new Salomon jacket. you can see where the regular jacket ends and the part folds down.
