March 16-18 at Schweitzer (Idaho).
Rail Jam Friday night, Slopestyle and SkierX Saturday and Sunday...I believe it is $50 to enter Slopestyle if you register before March 9, and $60 after that...

So yea, for everybody other than hoodratz, COME HANG with myslef and my homepickle Sara J. And compete pro in slopestyle cause If we get 20 peeps first prize is gonna be a grand... yum yum yum... think of how much beer you could buy with that...

every one should be here for this! we already have several skiers signed up for the pro slopestyle. it will be quite a show


so is there a freestyle skier/snowboarder team from bend? cause i had like 12 people sign up, all from bend.

Sara are you going to compete?

i dont remember the names right now, but there are skiers and snowboarders, females and males all between the ages of 14-18. i will remember a couple names soon. but i know one signed up for the Pro skier division for both rail jam and slopestyle. then a couple girl snowboarders who are doing the RiderX and slopestyle. but there are no female skiers which i am bummed about.

I'm planning on competing...I haven't skied for like a month cause I hurt my knee so I'm not sure how well I'll do but I'm still down as long as I can get some people to come...

Haha it was a whopping $6 at Value Village...I couldn't pass it up...

Oh and, I guess the word from my physical therapist is that i can SKI, but not hit jumps...so probably no slopestyle for me! I'm still considering the rail jam though :) Any idea on what will be set up?

10 males signed up for PRO rail jam
10 males signed up for PRO slopestyle
3 males signed up for amature rail jam
10 males signed up for amature slopestyle
7 males signed up for amature skierX
5 males signed up for Pro skierX
2 females signed up for amature skeirX
1 female signed up for amature slopestyle
1 female signed up for PRO rail jam
1 female signed up for PRO slopestyle


this is only from two days. i think there will be a full cash purse given out for the rail jam and slopestyle this year!!!!

And Sara you don't need to compete, just spraypaint "I *Heart* NoTeefa" on the back of your jacket and jump up and down and scream whenever I do a cool rollerblade trick on the rail

yeah travis took first in the 18+ amature catagory for both skeirX and slopestyle. Ben Moxham from Tamerack took first in slopestyle pro. Ben Schmitt from south lake tahoe took second in pro slopestyle.

it was that bad to me, and ill tell you why (i want to justify my stance)

First off, they knew this event was going to happen for months. The course was built the week of.
We had to spend money on transportation to get out there, food, lodging, and of course the entry fee. So we get a course that is suited to hacked ams?
The course had almost no flow - that is to say after coming off the rails, you were all cockeyed for the first jump. After landing the first jump, you had to cut all your speed for the second jump or die (basically what i did). Then, if you opted to do stuff on the rails, if you actually tried anything substantial, it would dick your speed for the tiny ass step over at the bottom.
The landings... oh my the landings. They were flat, hacked to death and shorter than a kumomoto oyster.
The features were tiny for the level of competition. They kept saying in the ads and what not that there would be a very high level of competition, so what do they have? Tiny jumps. That last jump... that second jump (by the way, what on earth was up with its lip?), all small.
If you compare it to last year, the jumps were considerably larger last year (albeit the lips were screwy as well).
Thats just the course. Why is it so hard to manicure a jump that is of a high caliber? Im not saying it needs to be akin to something like the US Open course, but that was a pathetic and horrible excuse for a slopestyle course. nuff said

Yeah we all fell, my fuckin binding came off both of my runs in mid air... not cool. My run woulda been sw 7 sw 9 cork 9 but it didnt work out.
