Digital Camera help

Ok so here it is I am new to digital cameras and I am having a hard time deciding between these two cameras witch are both $250, i either want the Nikon Coolpix 2100 or the Canon Powershot A60, they are also both 2 megapixel cameras. I really need some good help with finding the right one stevexs2 has helped me out alot, i was wondering if i could get some help from people who have one of the cameras or from people who no there cameras really well, like Clausen.

You should really go to a store and ask one of the people there. They prob. know more answers to your questions then on here...Personally i would go with the Nikon Coolpix, it's really good, since it is made by Nikon. In my house we have a Nikon and it still kicks ass! Nikons last really long and we dropped ours quite a bit, still works!lol. Good luck!

ya, i went to ritz camera in my mall and they new JACKSHIT!!! i was so pissed they said there was no manual mode on the A60 and i told them there was and it was my first time holding the camera and i showed them how to do it, and i am wicked new to this, i was so pissed, so i really dont have any good help

i have a coolpick 2500 its a really nice camera, i havent been into photography for very long but i want to start. execpt i just took it to the beach and got sand in it now the damn thing doesnt work. i think i will send it in for some warrenty work, hopefully they will get it working agian

^^That website above is wonderful for cameras...

I just bought one a week ago.. it is only a 1.6 megapixel camera but i was looking for something under a 100 bucks.. For what i do, it is perfect... i got it for 99 bucks + free shipping.. im not sure if your looking ot go high end or what but message me if you wanna know some more details.. good luck man

sorry to bump this up but if anyone else has a good oppinion please post i am planning on buying the A60 for almost sure unless someone convinces me other wise
