if u wanna buy armada stuff go and get orage or oakley...
^^ designed by the riders i don´t think there would be a huge difference if they´d produce their own shit.
major holders (owners) of armada are tanner, boyd, jp, jf, ant, julien, etc. whom are all deeply involved in clothing companies such as orage, sunice, and oakley. i doubt you'll be seeing it anytime soon (if you do, it would just be an oakley, sunice, or orage jacket with an armada label on it).
Would they really create outwear right now? I mean, Anthony, Tanner and Grete are all big name riders for Oakley, and something tells me they get paid enough by them not to try and create something of their own. Same goes for TJ and JP with Orage.
I agree with nomensteven, they'd have to enter the market with the support of another company, most likely Oakley or Orage.
If i were Tanner, I would say fuck oakley (yea i know they pay him alot, but he could be making alot more, they just use him for his name pretty much) and definatley start an armada clothing company. I really dont like oakley shit.
i can definelty see armada becoming the burton of skiing, making everything from helmets to bindings. they are "core" enough in most people's minds while still being a farily large consumer business.
I don't think they will. Think, all of the Armada team are way hooked up with Oakley (accept Schiller). None-the-less, everyone on the team already has an outerwear sponsor who is getting paid a lot. Armada would either have to not market the line, get a new team of people who just ride their outerwear, or pay the existing team enough to drop their sponsors......And I don't see Armada matching what Oakley pays Tanner.
jf and boyd have no part in armada. the other riders are ownder but they are not the primary stock holders. armada is silent investors who control the majority of the company. although creative direction is left up to the riders.
dude you could just take a sticker to a logo com[any and have em make it into a material logo out of like thread or you could jut take one if u already have em and sew it on it would be just as stick
I'd think it would be alot like burton. But also I don't think Burton has any riding strickly on their clothing line. Kinda like when you're banging a girl, you could just be fuck buddies(burton boards) or dating(Burton boards boots bindings clothing and goggles).
Alright, i sort of take back my statement. Oakley is dope for sure and are already established and their quality has gotten alot better and steezier, their goggles have definatley always been sick, their shit is definately steezy too. Maybe he could just ask if they will do a THall line of oakley gear, cause he is big enough to have the opportunity like that. A mad steeze designed outfit would be sick, you would just be a skiing peice of art. I think oakley could definately take their uniqueness alot further though as far as design/style in my opinion.
Basically its just a question of if you want to be part of an already sick established business or make your own try to succeed.
ya i think at the least it would put out another company and therefore more variety. you could mix and match the best of obermeyer, oakley, orage, and hey maybe armada
for shure they should make outerwear just because of the dissins on there top sheets are so sick, so im thinking that the dissins on there snow paints and jakets would also be just as sick
for sure* they should make outerwear just because of the designs* on their* top sheets are so sick.* So* I'm* thinking that the designs* on their* snow pants* and jackets* would be just as sick.*
