But skiing is a sport where one must travel on skis, so technically taking skis on an artificial surface that may be on top of a water ramp is skiing, same with riding skis over sand and grass and plastic and rocks and rails, as long as you are doing whatever with skis on your feet you are by definition skiing. But what do I know, I only hit up the slopes to practice aerials when my trampoline is stored for the winter.

..... hahaha thats a joke. Learning tricks on water ramps has given me the skill to land most of the tricks first try on snow. Saying people shouldnt learn tricks on water ramps is down right dumb. everyone should take advantage of something like that or the bag jump.
