I threw this idea out there on the ski gabber a few months back, but i cant get it out of my head, so im throwing it up here now cos i think itd be sick to do after the seasons done - maybe the week after easter.
So heres the plan. It concerns the switchback between gem lake and the village. Since last season ive driven throught that fucker and thought the middle section of that just has to be gappable - with a bit of creative construction at least.
At the moment, id guess the distance between the knuckles of the snowbanks is probably over 50 feet and given the limitations of the inrun, thats probably a a bit sketchy.
That said, if we can build a kicker about 6 or 8 feet above road height and close to flush with the road edge on the high side (beneath the highest point of the hillside above), and knock the knuckle off the bank on the low side - dig it down to about 4 or 5 feet above the road and fairly flat, i say that makes it maybe a 35 foot gap. Now as long as the transition between the inrun and the takeoff can be made fairly mellow, i cant see why 3s and 5s shouldnt be possible.
The inrun itself would have to be stomped out if not dug out depending how crusty that snow is, but if speed is an issue, you can drop in from up at the highest point of the road (hell, with a tow in if it came down to it, but im pretty sure thatd be overkill).
There are trees on the knuckle up top which we'd have too find a path through, but i dont see that as a big problem - wax up the boards and fuking giver.
As an added bonus, im thinkin if we get this happenning i might bring the 17ft straight rail out of my yard which we could setup between the roads on the low side to give an extra hit on each run.
This could also serve the purpose of providing something to do if some anal fucker from the big white aristocracy decides they want to shut the shit down.

So im thinking maybe the weekend after the season shuts if anyones keen.
