ok i have pretty unusual problem. i cant spin straight spins. i really have this problem on big jumps, because the lip of the jumps automatically makes me cork. i always cork my spins and if i try to spin normally i just land on my side. normally it wouldnt bother me because: cork = more $teeze, but corks make landing switch more difficul and i always land *almost* on my face. 3's and 7's are easy, but 5's arent really that comfortable, so im afraid to do 9's. same goes for switch. 5's are easy, but i sometimes land on my side when im doing switch 1's, because im kinda automatically corking. has anyone had this problem? ive tried to ''bio'' my spins, but it doesnt really work.
I actually used to have this problem as well. It's usually a defense mechanism your brain adopts because it is easier to get around if you cork. You're either doing two things. Looking down as you throw your spin, or throwing your arms down. To correct it, I like to think of leaning just a bit forward as I set my spin. I also think of keeping my shoulders level, not looking down till my spin is set, and sometimes even think of putting my left should a little after 180, kinda like a bio. I suggest starting with your easier spins and gradually working your way up. You just have to retrain your brain.
What he said. (If you start throwing cork 3s then you'll want to look down.) Once you get them dialed though, you can look wherever you want because you're body will be used to automatically doing the correct rotation.
it doesnt matter for me any more i am doing somthing now and it is working but when i first started i was looking over my shoulder and i would always land on my back
i had the problem last year such a pain it was a 50-50 shot of me landing, i just stoped poping off my tails and keep my hands in front of me until i set my spin, then go for the grab
