Wildcat doesn't have a park and probably never will, but the terrain is absolutely sick. They always have awesome bumps and one of the trails has a cliff thats a barrel of fun. My question: is it worth the trip to wildcat for the terrain (and sick lift-base to tippity in like 5 minutes) or would you rather stop in N Conway at attitash or cranmore?
i was at the trash a few days ago and got my ass rained on then went to the cat today and had sick snow conditions, prob going to hit up cranmore tomorrow, we'll see how it goes.
Wildcat is well worth the trip...real mountain and real terrain. Yeah no park, but plenty of natural stuff to air off of, bumps, trees. Plus you get to ski and not just lap the park if you want something different...
Last weekend was nuts there, they got tons of snow from the N'easter, you could bomb down everywhere. I'm sure it looks different now. If you just want tables and rails definitely don't head there though...
i would say yes, it is pretty cheap in price and it has some great terrain. the stuff under the lift is pretty good. one thing that is bad about wildcat is there is a limited amount of tree skiing casue the trees are so fuckin tight. there are some lines u just gotta look but wildcat does also have some really nice backcountry. all u have to do is take the trail polecat (i think thats the name but its the green that goes around the outside) and on your right you will see a little opening in the trees with a sign. on days with new snow this is awesome skiing.
If you arew really into park, and you can't ski bumps, or ski woods, don't go to Wildcat. This past weekend was sick, at Wildcat. That is all I have to say.
i loved wildcat even without the park. its a good place to relax from park for a lil. great lifts and bunches of trails. and u can see tuckermans and everything. get sum sick shots. but screw a really cold day ull freeze ur balls off.
cranny may be underrated. wen the whole park is up its actually really good. and on powpow days-- they just had 1-- glades and ledges are insane... side trails are always great, theres a buncha jumps
