im getting a new guitar and I cant decide between the Gibson Faded Sg Special or the Ibanez JS100 Joe Satriani Model.

what music u gonna play? The SG is definitely more versatile. The Ibanez is better for harder rock and shredding and stuff. I'd go for the SG, but i'd rather have verstility. It depends on what u want.

Ryan,

Do you have much experience with floating tremolo systems (on the Ibanez)? They can be a little frustrating and sensitive, depending on how you play. The SG has a more distinctive sound. Classic.

the ibenez is very, very sick. i know a guy who has that one; it plays really nicely. nonetheless, go with the SG. Gibson makes all other guitars its bitches. I own an SG and it sounds smooth clean and bites hard with distortion

ibanez has a thinner neck so its easier to move your fingers to the right cords and such...and the sound is something u all have obviously never heard before

there are some ibanezes than are really cheap tho...if u get an ibanez make sure its a good one and not some cheapy
