Replying to Need ideas for song lyrics

ok so im 15, in a band, we play rock/punk/acoustic... i was looking for some song lyric topics to write about because we play intrumentally really well but we are all shit at coming up with topics for songs, and we also suck at writing lyrics, i dont know anything about rhyme patterns, just looking for some ideas to write about and how lyrics should be set up, ive listened to plenty of music trying to figure out techniques but it all seems random and full of crazy metaphors... any tips?
