i'm trying to decide between skis. i read that the line invader is a very park specific ski, but i don't do a ton of park-i do love to ride switch, and trying to do more park, but does the invader do well all-mountain as well? would it be good at, say, mt baker?
addicts if you can find em. they are amazing switch, and perform good all mountain imo. cept mine delammed, i got scratches now. pretty good all mtn tool as well as park.
its weird, some people that have them love them and say that they are capable outside the park which is interesting because other say they're waayyy to soft and are worth shit all mtn. Obviously they wont perform like a public enemy in the groomers but im curious to see if their fun outside of the park too and if you carve at a moderately high speed.
^ i carved at a very high speed and they were fine. the only time i got a little wary was when i was straightlining a groomer the entire way down, they started to wobble. but this was also my first day on them, so it could be theyre brand new
what size ski are you looking for, im from washington, so i can help. also what's your height weight? if you have time, go down to evo in seattle, they can help you.
hmm...that's kinda what i expected. what would you guys reccommend? I need all-mountain twins, something fat enough for baker pow, and okay on groomers, etc.

get lizzies! judging by you being a girl im guessing you are lookin for shorter skis. So, you could also find shorter troublemakers or some scratch bc girls... just look around on porterstahoe.com they have some good stuff that you could probably use
give us a height and weight! we can't tell you anything exact till we know what size range would be good for you. if you're on the larger side (like 5'8"+) i'd recommend the Fischer Kehua, super sick everthing ski!
now that i think of it, bcs might be better if you do a whole lotta pow or all mtn. you can also go into the park with them too. i think thatd be a better choice.
i'm 5ft 4.5in. tall, about 150 lbs(some of that is DEFINITELY coming off in the next few months-i've joined a gym) and my current skis are rossignol saphirs, 162.
I ski a lot of all mtn-at Mt Baker. I love riding switch. I'm starting to do park, so I want something that is easy in the park, but great all mtn.
personally, i haven't tried any women's specific skis. however, i have ridden other armadas and they've all been a lot of fun for me. girls seem to love the arw and i would think it would be more of a fun ride than the missd. i'm not saying that the missd would be bad, but it is similar to the PE and my impression is that it'd have less of a responsive or lively feel.
plus, there are plenty of good deals out on the arw right now. evogear has last year's model in a 160 for $199. proctor jones has last year's in a 170 for $199 and this years in pretty much all sizes for $240.
i talked to a kid from discovery (montana, and for those of you who dont know, they get quite a bit of pow) adn he says he thinks there just as fun in park as they are in pow. or somthing like that.
Just because you are a girl doesn't mean you need girl specific skis. Since you're riding at baker, I'd suggest getting 165 Armada ARVs or K2 Nancys (not sure what size K2 makes it in the 160-170 range, probably 169).
Both are soft skis with a fair amount of sidecut. They'd be sweet on the groomers and sweet in the pow. Both would be choppy at high speed, but overall I think they would be very solid skis for you.
Older 03/04 seth pistols would work too, same dimensions as the Nancy and probably just as soft.
