Who's had their ticket clipped?

Just share some stories of ski patrol power tripping or if it was your fault when a mountain pulled your pass or clipped your ticket.
I was at hunter the other day when I got my ticket clipped. And I have to admit that it was partially my fault as a disclaimer. So there was little girl who had fallen off some box and some lady was attending to her, there was also sister waiting there and I think the dad just showed up. Well they were off to the side so I decided to hit the rail. This was my first mistake because I planned to clean it but I came off early and almost crashed into the group. So i was like woah and stop right away and say Im sorry for that. Thats when the lady their flips out on me telling me that im never gonna ski there ever again. She starts screaming at me and tells me that shes calling security and shit. The lady is like "don't you even consider leaving, Ski patrol is going to escort you off the mountain." And I was like fuck this, i didn't even hit you. So start to leave and the dad and the lady come over to me and hold me and click me out of my skis and they're now both flipping a shit on me. I wasn't about to hit anybody cause I knew better than that but I was getting pissed off. My next mistake I would later find out was that the lady there worked for the mountain. And the girl there was a daughter of her friends. I guess that explained the radio and how Ski patrol was there in seconds. Well either way ski patrol shows up and they escort me to the bottom of the mountain. The guy that escorted me was actually chill and was like "dont worry about it." I goto the office and explain my side of the story even though im pretty sure they paid no attention to a word of it. I told them i never hit anybody and stuff like that but they were like you should have never been so aggressive with the lady. They ask me what do you think a proper punishment would be? Being pissed off and the smartass I was told them to fire the lady. I told them that she started flipping out at me but they said that since I almost hit her that I shouldn't have argued back. Well all in all they tell me they are gonna take my ticket but I can comeback tomorrow. I was like fuck that, I'm never coming back to this shithole. They told me how I would be charged with theft of services if they caught me on the mountain. So they wanted take my information so I just gave them this bullshit name, address, etc. This story is probably biased to my side too. Lets just say I was pretty pissed off but I never hit any body.

A friend of mine did for ducking a line/skiing a closed trail I have a season pass, so I try to stay out of trouble. It would suck to get that taken away if I went somewhere for a day and it was towards the end of the day I would duck ropes and care less if my ticket was taken

same same
one time i was charging a groomer as a warmup and i get to the bottom of the run and start to slow down, and the bottom of the run happened to be icy, so i slid out, no where near anyone...i take off my skis and head to the locker room and as i enter some guy taps me on the shoulder and is like "Do you know what you did?" and i was like "no" and he goes "you almost hit me, i see that again and i get your pass clipped"
I kinda wasnt listening because i was listening to music, but i was like "whatever"

my last day at vail last week, i really wanted to just fly past ski patrol in the slow zone in the middle of the mountain and keep skiing down to see if they could catch up to me. if they could, which i doubt, i would have gladly handed them my pass and congratulated them on actually catching up to me

same happened to me at sunday river last year during april vacation. i ducked the rope on agony, which was about half snow, half grass, and ski patrol was five chairs behind us. So we ducked the rope right under ski patrol and two patrollers went down the groomer to the right of agony and we still beat them down. then they had other patrollers get us at the top of the lift. bastards

very long story short, got my pass janked, got in a brawl with 1 liftie, 3 friends, a random older snowboarder trying to be a hero, and 2 patrol guys, police came, threatened with assault, banned for the rest of the month pending investigation, all charges dropped eventually.

Alright so i was with some friends. We decided to ski Banana chute which is closed permanently, before I could drop in a Ski Patroller skied up and said "Get over here now" and this was in a place surrounded with trees. So she pulled our passes.

i was at okemo, and i was coming down towards the liftline, when i noticed a little bump on the trail. so i skied over to it, did a lui kang off it while holding my camera, and then the patroller came over and clipped my ticket. he said i put all 200 of the people in line's lives in danger. haha

i have a funny one we were baked out of our mind and racing down the beginner it was one of those very very long and curvy trail and at some point there is this guy standing in the middle of the trail with i shit you not a spinning and flashing light like the ones they use on undercover police car in movies (i have no idea what the english word is but the french term is gyrophare)and a megaphone telling us to stop. i was in front and, being as high as i was i stopped to look at the guy so while im talking to him all my friends bomb by me he starts giving me shit while i look at the light on his helmet and proceeds to cut my lift ticket i was like wtf give me a break im the only one that stopped for you dumbass.
the ticket was almost worth looking at that guy's helmet

Ive gotten 2 warnings that were almost COMPLETE bullshit.
the first time was at Snowshoe Mtn, WV. I was about to hit the 35 footer, like i did every run, and i see the Xed poles on the flat part (barely saw them cus im short and the take off practically covered them) but i saw some ppl on the side of the jump (slope on the side and the 5 ft wide pass on th side of the jump as a whole) so i pulled over there to the left of the guy, highest on the side of the jump (which was closest to the top of the jump and the accident was at the very bottom of the landing. THe only reason i can think of is that i was coming in a little too fast, evven though i stopped where everyone else did basically ( iu couldnt go around the other side cus there were THICK trees on the that side, along with a steep drop off.) after a quick pause i side stepped down the side of the jump and skiied ATLEAST 20-30 feet away of the accident spot and the patroller pulled me over. when thinking this was complete bullshit i wasnt very nice to the guy. He said come here kid, and i said what is the problem? he says cant u see there is a accident here, u need to be more cautious and i was like are u kidding me? i was?? he said no sorry you wernt and put a big ol X on my ticket, luckily he didnt clip it.
SO basically the dude was a power craving bastard who was tortured as a kid and wants to take it out on little 5' 7" skiier.
THe other was at App terrain park, NC and that was alil more simple and deserved i guess? there was these 3, CLEARLY used, 3-4 ft wide paths that went from the bend of one run to the top of the park (the only way to get to the very top of the park besides this path is to hike, and u cant get enough speed for the kicker at the bottom without going this high) so for the past 3 times iver been to this park i went through one of them, it actually looked more clear everytime and not marked off at all. although, the only bad thing was that it went through the "woods" even though there were like a total of 10 trees around this 100 by 50 foot patch that the path goes through. so this time after i got to the top of the park i see these partrollers give me that finger where u curl your finger and tell someone top come here (it was some chick) and there was already a LINE of ppl that had done the same thing appraently and were giving out warnings like candy. this time iw as like, was it the music that got me introubel? and he was like no u rode through the woods, and i said o im very sorry sir i had no clue it was marked off (which it wasnt) and we were not allowed to go. (being more nice because of the SNowshoe incident)
he still gave me a warking on my ticket and i skiied away. stupid biatch.
so yeah thats my long rant/bitch

I was skiing at stratton and I was coming down to the AMEX lift on skiiers left of the lift. I was going pretty fast while still maintaining complete control. I was carving some turns and as pass a slow sign towards the bottom I cut my speed. I keep going and I get to the bottom where two "mountain safety patrollers" are standing there in a crowded spot, taking up room telling people to slow down as they are coming down into the base area. I cut my speed again, at this point im going no faster than the people in front of me, and i could still stop if i needed to within 5ft. So if someone jumped out infront of me i could have avoided an accident. As i go by the two patrollers, they yell hey kid slow the hell down! I just keep going cus if i slowed down anymore i would have had to skate to the lift. I get to the maze and they run over and start yelling at me saying you could have seriously injured people blah blah blah. The guy grabs my jacket looking for my ticket, and i say "dude get your hand off me" the guy doesnt stop ruffling my clothes to grab my ticket so i say louder "get your fucking hands off of me!" he says "thats strike 2 jackass "gets to my ticket and writes one last strike on to my ticket in magic marker. Nothing happened after that because I skated away and got on the lift. But he was a complete dick about the whole thing, he didnt even approach the matter by telling me what i had done wrong, he just grabbed me.

Yeah I have been pulled over a lot by ski patrol saying that I either "was going to fast" when there was noone else on the trail then(This is a 60-70ft wide trail) or i cut them off, which in there terms means coming within 10 or so feet of them when turning. But the weirdest one of all was some ski patrol biatch skied up to me and made me stop , then about 10 seconds after her these to old as women maybe late 40s or 50s came up and were like"yeah thats him" I was like WTF do you mean. Then they said that I had cut them off 10 or so times today and they had reported me. I said to them that it wsan't me as I had been in the park for most of the day. So I went and ski off so she tryed to folowe me so i just shot through this big bowl so she couldn't keep up with me and then went and chilled in the pipe for a while

well ive come close to getting it clipped for not doing anything. there was a group of people who skied down a closed run and the patrollers caught them at the bottom. i was going by on my way to the lift and then the patroller is like
'hey you i know you were with this group stay there' and i was like no way so i left when he turned to clip some guys ticket

that sucks, i hardly ever even put the bar down at all, and nobody bothers to talk to me.
I've never gotten my pass clipped, but i've gotten plenty of warnings for ducking ropes and such.

I always get heckled by mtn patrol at whiteface for going too fast near lifts, people and slow trails, I just dont listen/stop with tunes blaring... One time I ducked a rope and caught some fresh on wilderness when it was closed about a month ago and mtn patrol stopped 3 ppl at the bottom and I skied past them slowly waiting for them to bitch me out, they said nothing. I even waited for them at the mid lodge, they stopped next to me and said nothing... Im going with the logic that the ppl in front of me were gapers that had no right poaching the fresh and I skied it well, therefore there wasn't a problem, otherwise the only patrollers Ive had a problem with were at my local hill for building a big powder booter that had a legit landing... 30-40 ft flat to landing, but he didnt heckle the kids building dangerous jumps with flat landings...

ski patrol at mt hood meadows has become all bitchy ever since someone died in a collision. theyve pulled hundreds of passes, and taken away 3 of my friends season passes for a week (plus made them take a full day saftey class and pay a fee) just because of them going fast through this one intercection. ive had a few close calls too. its good that they are trying to keep people safe but this is just fucked up.

That's bitch dude, your on a newschool site and your clippen a kids pass cuz he's tryin to get better and having fun. Either you should look the other way (because he's one of us) and let another patroller do it, or you can quit being a tool and quit being a patroller at that mountain if they force you to do that shit. And if that's the case and you do patrol because it would otherwise be too exspense for you to ski there if you don't patrol think about how that kid had to pay for the day/season.

like 2 years ago me and my friends got our season passes taken away till the end of the day and had to wait in the lodge for 4 hours for making a booter in back country which was fucking rediculous and i couldnt leave cus i didnt have a ride home, ski patrol was a complete dick about the whole situation too

Dude, Nomen is not a bitch. A park policy is still a park policy. We unfortunately dont live in Europe, and instead get to live in a world thats dominated by liability and lawsuits. Most ski areas arent allowed to build parks unless they can appease their owners by making them as safe as possible. If having a park means enforcing the no inverts rule, then I would sure as hell enforce it.
Nomen gave the kid a warning. The kid disregarded it and broke the rule again. He showed more patience than most patrollers when it comes to this. Its assfaces like you that piss park employees and patrollers off and give what we do a bad image. Having a park is not a right, its a privilege, and if you dont respect the rules that go with it, you're just as bad as the people that stand on landings, begging to get hit.

Man, after reading these stories I'm suprised. I thought I had it bad, but I guess my mountain is better than most. We dont get shit for what we do out of bounds, period. Skiing in trees is totally ok, and we dont have closed sections or anything, even though some areas should be.
The one thing we do have is a Safety Patrol. These assholes always tell you to slow down, no matter how slow you go. I seriously was told to cut my speed on this cattrack that you pretty much have to skate cause its so flat. I've been called out a few times night skiing down to base switch too, when, I kid you not, there are 4 or 5 people skiing the chair. Nobody even on the run with me. I dislike those guys.... but thats a minor complaint compared to what some people have evidently.
Never got my ticket clipped, worst I've got was a few patrollers telling me to slow down and all.

when i was like 12 some guy stopped me and yelled at me for "racing" and i was just like "sir i am by myself im not racing anyone and it was completely clear" he was like just dont do it again or i will pull your pass.
i dunno ive never been caught usually if i see patrol after im cutting a trail i just book and our group sometimes splits up if we think its neccesary.

I jumped off a chairlift once into a huge drift and instead of landing and skiing away, I got stuck and fell. Then this guy started yelling at me to never do that again or my ticket would be cliped. It was worth it though.

I got a warning clip they just clipped the corner of my season pass for skiing switch down the mountain. They guy totally freaked and was like if you fucking twintippers dont start skiing normal there gonna ban you guys. it was complete bullshit so i went down to the office and said i lost my pass and they gave me a new pass. one of my snowboarder friends slipped on some ice and fell into ski patrol and got his pass clipped
