remember the more wax you put on the more work you will have. The best way is to put a very light film on by rubbing the bar of wax on the iron for a second. then rub the bar of wax on the ski. Rub just 5 to 6 inches of ski, then repeat heating wax on iron. Continue untill you've rubbed the whole ski. The next step is too rub the iron on the ski. This should be done fairly quickly just enough to melt the rubbed on wax. Now when you scrape you will have much less excess wax. I like to then repeat this entire process.
