get low and practice. I had never grinded before tis year so I set up a small rail in my back yard. after like 3 days I can grind about 6 feet on it. also the faster you go, the better you will balane. think of it as a bikk in the sence that if your moving, you wont fall

if you are falling off to the left, line yourself up to the right more, and vice versa.
i had the problem where i would hit the rail, tailpress, then slide off gradually. i still do that sometimes, but what i do is i go at the rail with it to my right, sometimes as far to my right as if im gonna lipslide it and then i dont slide off.

make sure to have the rail aiming between your legs when you jump and rotate 90 onto it.Its alot harder to jump sideways onto a rail

Get a cup of coffee and a newspaper, it'll pass the extra time that you're on the rail for.

your probably scared to hit the entire rail and therefore not becoming centered on it.
look to the end of the rail and commit and maybe more speed
