Replying to K2 Warantee Experiences - POST!

I have the first year fujatives (05) and after ridding today i noticed the damn base is peeling off in a piece that is cut around from the tail. The ski has a "k2" scope symbol thing on the tale (think of 4 frnt bases, ant bases, jp vs. j bases.. any bases that are composed of pieces like a puzzle) Its much like the stereotypical thing about the guy who had the "f" fall out of his base on his 4frnts.

Anyways so this piece is comming out and i was wondering how k2 will react to it. If they will do anything about it or just say sorry there old skis cant do anything. My buddy who works in a shop said i should give it a try, but i have no idea about how k2's warantee goes.

I am aware as this is my second season on them that the ski is past warantee, but my friend with 05' ar5's just shipped his in for tail delam warantee and got shipped back new 07' ar6's. So...

anyone wanna tell me if its worth my time shipping these away with the hopes of new skis or if i should just go downstairs epoxy and clamp it.
