Replying to Moving to whistler from ottawa

Basiclly, ever since i was about 12 I promised myself that I would move to whistler for about a year and just ski. I'm gonna finish college this May and so i wanna head out soon afterwards, around september. But the only plan i really have is to get a job as a waiter (i have experience in that), work the night life, and ski that day. So what i'm asking for is some advice or heads up on how i should survive out there, when i should leave, how much money i need,places were i can stay, etc. Thanks alot!
