Whistler has the best nightlife.
Why the fuck would you move west just to ski park and urban..? I mean, personally I've skied tahoe a lot now, and northstar is the LAST mountain there I'd want to live at, or ski at on a regular basis. If you're moving west, do NOT base your location on park... you'll hate yourself once there's decent snow.

out of those choices, whistler would probably be the best, but its a pain in the ass to move up there it seems like. So I would choose salt lake city, go to PC when you want to ride park and hit up the other resorts for pow, they are all close as fuck.

I've only skied around tahoe for the 'west' but trust me, once you get some face shots in... you'll see the light.

true, but i believe if you are moving up to canada from the states, you have to either have a job lined up or going to school up there or have relatives up there. I could be wrong though.

well utah has the urban, good parks, still gets lots of snow, but you have mormons and shitty beer.
tahoe has lots of snow, good parks, no mormons, but not as much urban.
i dont know much about whistler, but i guess its sick parks, sick back country, lots of snow, no idea about urban, and good night life.

i would go to alpine meadows. or live in truckee, and that way youre equally close to flatstar for metal grinds, and alpine for a legit mountain, with dope jumps.
really, if i had to select one hill to ski the rest of my days it would prob be alpine meadows. really you cant go wrong with tahoe.
i hear theyre even getting snow now.
PC is fun though also. ive had a great time here this winter.

its almost impossible for Americans to move to whistler except if your going to school up there.
If you can afford it and fidn a way in, Whistler is your best bet by far. It is the sickest place on Earth, no doubt.

well if youre just riding park, move to summit county and hit up breck and keystone all the time. that seems to be the trend right now.

been to all three and lived in south lake tahoe this year and id say whistler, if u have the money to move up there, thats the hard part is moving there.
PC: mormons, shitty beer, they saying is you either got 2 houses or 2 jobs. and people think there the shit out there which is gay
Tahoe: sick place to live but as far as im concerned the people that live there are fucking crazy, and are alwasy looking to whoop someones ass, and are high as shit on themselves. but there is so much good skiing within a hour from where u live. theres northstar, alpine, heavenly, sierra, kirkwood,....mammoths a few hours away.
Whistler: just plain old sick, nightlife is by far the best out of anywehre in the conutry, and u only gotta be 19. skiing all year round, great bud, and jesus....they got 9000 fucking acres to explore...sick

WHISTLER, ... northstar has a lot of tourists and the lift lines are a bitch, and as far as PC goes, sick park but the people who work there are fags and there are way to many rich pricks, SO WHISTLER FOR SURE

im not really sure about whistlers urban rail situation, but the nightlife is good, park is always sick, and if you live there, remeber you have the glacier in the summer too...

colorado if you can handle traffic on 80, unless youre gonna live closer to the mountains rather than bouler/denver. Whistler if you have the money and can somehow get a visa.

northstars park is lacking mad snow right now, well as of 2 weeks ago when i was out there. PC is good but the better parks i think are back in CO at breck and keystone. they have the best parks ive ever hit. living there would be boring though

go to northstar, there are super cheap places to stay in Truckee or Kings Beach or Reno(if you want to drive 30 minutes). I say Tahoe because there are like 10 killer resorts all within like 45 of each other max... and mammoth is only 2 and a half away.
there is some super sweet urban in truckee/tahoe city, but its been mostly played, the best is in reno, which occasionally gets snow, but with a pick-up, you can hit urban almost year round.
Tahoe is ill. Trust Me.

Northstar is so many levels down from the top tier parks. As of right now their biggest hit is 30 feet, and that is being generous.

well ive now skied a binch on both coasts and they are completely different types of skiing. sest coast skiers are a whole different breed. especially in tahoe. i recomend going to tahoe and learning to be a real skier because if you think the park is fun then you will be shocked to fellwhat its like to point ur skis down a chute ordrop a 30+ foot cliff. and there are sick parks for all the other days

please dont move to n*. if you gonna move out here to ski, go to a better resort than that. sugar bowl, alpine, squaw. if i had the choice id move to whistler since we have no snow here at the moment. but i do love tahoe. never skied PC.

well, i'd say move to summit county, get a 5 mountain pass, get the longest season around (abasin is open mid october-mid may at least) and get two of the sickest parks on the same pass in Keystone and Breck. if you're into park, i'd say that's the way to go. there is urban around summit county, and if you really want to go at it on an urban assult, denver/boulder is under an hour and a half drive away.

You're gonna ride park and urban, and don't have much money to blow?
Why is Whistler on your list? No, really, why? The amazing, non-existant urban? Or the $1000/month + for the most basic of basic living costs, or do you just love vermin, no, uh, I mean Australian chicks?

Hey com'on I met a really sweet, pretty one last night...
Anyways, with that list of park and urban and pow when you get it, don't do whislter, it's expensive. It's the best place by far on your list but don't do it.
I say live in SLC. It's a 40 minute ride to PC and it's much cheaper to live their than the city of PC. You won't have yourself for moving to SLC once you start enjoying pow more than park, and if you don't convert, you'll still have great parks to ride. Go SLC/LCC/BCC.

probly whistler. but i live like 4 hours away and the price of property/lift tickets is just crazy. all you people who pay 350$ for a seasons pass in the east have no idea of the 1500$ seasons pass price of whistler...

Whistler. Theres tons of urban but some of it isn't possible due to poles and other stuff. And some rails have nubs on them which stops u from hitting the rail unless you wanna cut them off and sand it down. But their parks are great!!!

alright, here is the rundown (i have spent enough time in both pc and tahoe to know what im talking about). park city is a sick mountaim but i destination resort, so you will have to deal with high prices and rich tourists out ur ass. the park is better than anywhere in tahoe, but its icy and the snow isnt as good. if you want to ski pipe, go to park city. also, the night life sucks. there is very little partying or anything and no clubs or bars to sneak into. kids from the winter school generally dont like utah. i have a friend who went ot the winter school and refuses to go back to park city again. you can pm him if you want to ask about it.
tahoe is basically sick in every aspect. if you go to tahoe, you will regret getting a pass at northstar. n* is the only destination resort in tahoe, and lacks the skiing that tahoe is famous for. if you want to ski good west coast parks and ski the best terrain int he country, get a pass at squaw. there is also a sick local attitude. and chill kids to ski with. if you dont have enough money to go to squaw, go to alpine. imagine squaw as being the hot girl and alpine being the fat friend. you can always see the top of kt-22 lift, which is probably the most famous lift in the country next to the tram at jackson, and it is always in the shadow of squaw. housing will be much cheaper, and reno has sick nightlife. its california, which just makes it chill, while pc is in mormon utah. you can also visit the bay to get the best weed in the state and be in a sick enviroment. without showing any bias, i think tahoe is ur best bet. also, remember that skiing on the west coast is entirely different that on the east coast. i used to ski at squaw and now i ski at waterville, and the style of skiing itself is just different
All times are Eastern (-5)
