Calf bang?

after skiing my calves always hurt like right hear the top of my boot, like the back of my leg it sucks. anyone else with this?

your prob skiing backseat or landing backseat, i had to lean back all day last week to stay on top of all the snow we got and at the end of the day my calves were killing me

I've got the same problem, the upper part of my calves hurt, plus some shinbang. I guess the only thing to do is ice and rest it.

yea i get it, its gay, it holds me back a ton.  Best thing to do seems like to keep your boots real tight and try not to land backseat

best solution, hands down. get a custom liner + footboard (if your feet dont fit your boot). then get a booster strap and loosen the top buckle and tighten that booster. honestly ive had no shin bang since. its amazing not to have knee or calf pain after you ski.

Smoke some weed while you get some boots fitted and you're set.  Keep you boots tight, don't ski back seat, get booster straps, tighten your power straps, stretch your calves before you ski and after. 

But yeah take ibuprofen or smoke some marijuana for them pain.

i got mine at larrys boot fitting in boulder, they hooked me up with a scarpa intuition liner, ran me 50$. larrys is the only place i ever go 2 for boots.

I get it everytime, and last time it was like 3 runs into it and so then i had to sit out for an hour and i was super pissed, i think i have the wrong size boots and i keep backseat landings.

i get it too. i tried moving the tongue thing in different positions. that helped some.

i got it SO bad just about two weeks ago doing a frontflip... i didnt ski for like five days and then when i tried i took one run and couldnt even walk back to the car... but its pretty much better now (just about three weeks) fucking sucks.
i hate pain

I got it yesterday because some little fat kid fell over right in front of me on the tow rope.  I bet his back hurts more though.

one thing you should all do is look at the back of your boots and see if you can adjust the spolier height. on a lot of boots theres a piece of plastic/rubber that you can adjust to either be higher or lower on your calf so its not pressing in awkwardly. that being said, back seat is still a killer and not all boots have that feature.

Its the boot size and landing back seat, it could also be because your boots are not tight enough on your leg

Í've been experiencing the same problem so I've tried many different things to alleviate my pain.
First of all, of course, not landing backseated, and also, surprisingly, , wearing my boots looser.
I only buckle the lower 2 real hard and keep the upper part just nearly tight. It helps to make the backseated landing smoother. If I fall leanin back just once then im screwed for the rest of the day.

Only when i fall really hard. I landed in a gully a couple of days ago and my boots werent all the way tight so it raped my calf and my shins at the same time. Make sure that your boots are tight and theres no slop at the top.

I had it really bad last year in my old spks, but now that I have dalbellos with custom footbeds I have 0 shin bang. Its really really awesome, and has made my season much better so far.

i get that almost everytime too... i was told i was skiing weong (after like 15 yrs of skiing haha) and i was leaning back if my calfs hurt n only my thighs should hurt..
