They suck! RC is okay at the best but 3D blows anyone know whats going on with the park crew there i mean they go down the park and see a pot hole in the landing and they just sit on there asses doing nothing!
the staircase is nothing but a waste of money, all the jumps in RC minus the airhill suck and are all icy, all parks have no flow, some of the lips in southridge were aboslutely ridiculous, 3d is the worst place for a park because it gets no snow, they cut up the S box to make 2 c boxes when they already had 3
It's gone downhill for sure this year, it seems like the new crew tried too much for inovation for their first year, and not on maintaining a park and learning layout, the stairset was a really good idea, just tackled horribley, I tried to film it friday and I could barely find any angles for it. It seems to steep for how short it is. I don't know though, I'm happy there IS a park, if it wasn't for SR I'd be filming backyard rails and kickers, so I guess it's better than nothing...
One thing I do love is the stupid ass ghould (I assume, they have SR jackets) race coaches bombing through rocking chair and not even hitting the hits. I go out of my way to make sure I'm walking across there path at just the right time.
Is the pipe good this year? I haven't checked it out yet.
yo the rocking chair park is pretty bunk right now, cept for the air hill thats real nice. loaf is good though, anyone who says differnt should be castrated publicly
fix the jumps onto the rails, make the rails slide a little better, make the rails a bit longer and more mellow, also they only had two jumps which wouldnt be bag but the placment was terrible. they need to pick and new trail where the jumps arnt on a curv in the trail and spread the upper rails away from the first kicker so you can have to option of rails and jumps not just one or the other, and also what the fuck was up with that C rail at the bottom?
ya i agree about where they put the jumps but thats really the only place u can get enough speed. and yeah their flow needs a little work. hahha, i was wondering the same thing about that stupid as C rail. whatever though, the jumps boot you and the down-flat-down is straight up nasty
Sure I work there...but imho being able to hit 6 or so medium features (with options on each) in a row on 3D doesn't suck and the bottom 25 footer has nice pop. Sure there are better trails in the world to have a park on, but it's far better than last year.
Also Rocking Chair has way more creativity than years past. Now that the 1/4 has been re-cut you can slay 3-4 rails (two of them brand new and double kinked), hit the airhill into the 1/4 pipe then slide the case (yes it's steep). For a wide and short trail, that is also an improvement in flow. Or folks can rip down the jump line on the right and hit the last as a hip.
There's always room for improvement no doubt. But it also ain't going into the shitter. According to what folks have been asking for (more flow, more creativity, more elements up) it's been getting better. Hopefully to continue.
Super warm this weekend so parks should be bumpin.
i agree that RC and 3D are pretty good right now, except for that trap rail in 3d which is probably the gayest rail ever, and RC is pretty nice too but I think they should take out that wickedd small jump next to the fat rail at the very top and put in an up rail like last year and maybe add another feature next to the trap box at the bottom
i also wish that all of the jumps RC had bigger landings (besides the airhill), the lips are all pretty nice but it sucks landing on such a flat landing
and also the jib park is pretty horrible right now since the FD box is out but the whitecap bud light set up is amazing and i could sesh that for hours
the jumps at sugarloaf are perfect, and if you want to you can hit something from each set of features. you can hit the flat-down and still hit the first kicker. all the jumps onto rails are perfect and every rail has a sick landing. i dont know how much more mellow you want them, none of them are even hard, and they all slide fine. ive never had a problem with speed in that park. i will admit that the c rail is a waste of space, but theres a nice flat rail for practicing 270 on right next to it so it doesnt matter. i cant think of a better trail at sugarloaf to put the park on. you can get speed for everything and you can lap it from the double, what more could you want.
I wish that the parks could be longer. What about making 3D the full length of the trail? Remember stomping grounds (sugarloaf) last year? I miss that. It seems Like I spend most of my time on the lift or getting to the park than anything else. I can't complain about RC but I miss the old sunday river parks.
