I hurt my thumb, and I need medical advice

It starting hurting like 3 weeks ago and it got worse. I don't know what I actually did to it, skiing probably. Jammed, pulled, idk? But i can't curl in my thumb all the way or it hurts way too much. I feel like a sharp pain on the back of the thumb at the base.
Anyone might know what happened?
Should I go to the doctor?
Is it gunna go away or am I gunna need like a splint?
should i wait till the end of ski season, or is only gunna get worse?

yeah it will only get worse if you don't take care of it. i would recommend going to see a doctor and if it is really bad he/she will send you to an orthopedist. one of my friends had "skiers thumb" on both hands and had to have surgery on both of them. (i'm not trying to scare you, but that is worst thing that could possibly happen) talk to your parents though, see what they think.

possibly broken or sprained I'd see a doctor, most splints slip on and off better to get it fixed now than for it to get worse

Yeah, doctor/A&E would help you a lot more (unless someone can make a diagnosis from 3 lines of text)...

ask a girl if you can feel what her vag feels like and stick it in there....then make a thread about it. then your set to go bone more girls while dancing.

Well...in May I did an endo on my bike in a parking lot and flew over the handlebars on my bike. Went to the hospital and they thought it was sprained wrist. Two days ago i went to an orthopedist cause its been hurting like a bitch and it has been broken this whole time. Need surgery, screws, and maybe a bone graph. No more skiing either. Sucks the dick.

i agree
your choices are
1) ask a bunch of 15-22ish year old ski bums about your thumb that we haven't seen
or
2) go ask a medical professional who could tell you in like 2 minutes

its obvious you should amputate it
and its also obvious that going to ns for medical advice is probably as dumb as nailing a black girl from africa while trying to not get aids.

you possibly tore your UCL (ulner colateral ligament) which as at the base of the thumb. this is commonly known as skiers thumb. If it is all the way torn it could need surgery to be fixed but all in all isnt that bad. i did mine last year but not all the way so i didnt need surgery. i would suggest you go get it checked and have a splint or somthing made for it.
