Hahaha never heard of Sage... He started in movies a few years ago (Mind the addiction?) and hes been the star of the past 2 TGR movies. he's basically in every chapter of Anomaly... Really big name for Rossi
I think you are kidding and just trying to get a rise out of people. Sage got best video performance for his part in high life a few years ago, and he gets nominated every year. He may very well be the best skier in the world right now. Great in Alaska, great off of backcountry kickers, can ski the park. There is no one who deserves a pro model more.
If that was a serious question you know nothing about skiing.
dope skier, but farely unprogressive. no sw9s, no big jump5s, no 9s. small and or no sw7s in the bc. if you are "king" of bc you better have this shit on lock. if he is top notch, once again guys like jussi, dirksen, dcp, andreas are light years ahead of skiing and hippie sage. sorry sage, dope skier, but more exotic and glam rock then progressive and dope.
honestly, ive never really seen what is sooo amazing about him. yes, a great skier, but i just dont enjoy watching him ski that much. i agree with ^ up there, he isnt that progressive. i just dont see him at anywhere near the level of the big guns like seth, pollard, fujas, mare, thall, candide, hugo, etc. tricks arnt as smooth/stylie, and his lines arnt as gnarly. if you ask me, the best big mountain skier right now is hugo harrison. i love watching him, cause not only does he haul balls, but he ALWAYS lands on his feet, not back. yes he is a little bit more traditional in the style department than guys like pep and pollard, but when it comes to just destroying huge mountains, i think hes just as good as seth was in his prime.
He's a big mountain skier, as well as a BC skier. Snowboarding is not light years ahead because they do not ski big mountains as well as skiers do. King of BC means king of big mountain lines, not kickers. The things you mention mean very little to anyone who can actually ski the mountain. There is far more to skiing than just going off jumps. If you think those boarders are light years ahead you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. They might be better off kickers, but they can't slay an Alaskan spine wall like Sage does, and that is far more important than a backcountry kicker.
How do you not know who Sage is? He's like, one of the most advertised skiers in the industry. Have you ever read Powder, Skiing, Freeskier or Freeze? He's probobly in all of those like 100 times an issue.
He rips, and He was similar in my eyes to Marc Andre Belliveau, rips and is really a leader in the "mini" golf style of skiing, he isn't Seth or Nobis, rippin big mountain lines by over powering them, Rather as I see him flowing with the Mountain, Its not jaw dropping spectacular in any one shot, its the whole flow that one must look at.
honestly. you can't compare sage to jussi. different sports, different levels, and completely different lifestyles and backgrounds. i know you think that switch shit and huuuuge jumps are the progression of skiing but they aren't. sage's right 3s and 5s of little cliffs are dope. sure he's no jussi or andreas, but no one's asking him to be. he's sage and he fucking kills it.
thats great he is geeting a pro model. sage has been one of my favorite skiers for a long time, i love his style and the way he has fused big mtn and park, and hes really good at both which is really cool.
for sure different levels; one is just better overall (give ya a hint) jussi. different lifestyles don't mean shit to me; maybe to you what a guy does in his personal life effects how you look at his riding on the hill, but not me, i don't suck dick. yes, switch shit and huge jumps are part of the progression; what sage does marc andre was dong five years ago. and yes. "right 3s and 5s off of little cliffs are dope" but by no means warrent a pro model, "best bc skier", and all the other medals you have awarding him.
give it up, he IS smooth, but his right 3s and small fives can be had by many. ya ya ya, cry "but they are all in the ak bc". who cares.
one more question skiller, what is the progression of the sport? it sure as hell aint what sage is doing, it's probably the futureproof and more teaser you so covet.
