Replying to I KNOW there are a lot of stickies in ski equipment but....

Maybe we could all collaborate to make some general guidelines for buying new skis that people could reference without having to make a thread about it. I see a ton of threads asking simple questions like "Hey i'm 7 feet tall, is 145 too short?" We could probably develop a pretty good general outline of what a person should be looking for when buying new skis that could answer a lot of these questions that newer skiers and experienced skiers have. I'm just throwing it out and I know it probably wouldn't include makes and models but maybe it could have stuff like:

-Height and weight references for ski size and style (Stiffer ski, buttery ski, fat ski)
-Relate type of ski (Powder, Park, etc.) to mounting and size
-Provide some input on finding the right bindings.
-Give some tips on how to pick between similar makes and models.

This is totally based on the opinions of other NS'ers so what do you guys think? Any suggestions? Problems? No hate just input.
