steeper landing for a jump that doesnt kick you up high? that sounds pretty dangerous to me. if its a mellow take off you want a mellower landing and steep takeoff you want a steeper landing. the landing is already pretty fucking steep if you ask me
i agree it should just be 2 jumps. get that small one out of there. i also think there needs to be a little more pop on big show, cause it is like spining off a cliff. just a little more pop though (maybe i'm being picky). and there def needs to be some rails on the right side of the park after the 3rd jump. It's so frusterating... you either have a jump line, or a jib line. No mixing it up. Last year there were multiple lines even after the jump-set (jumps-cbox- urban- fd) (jumps- cbox-flat- fd) (jumps- hip- flat- fd) etc....... to bad damage didn't spend their money on a sweet jib instead of that crap ass wallride. spirit can't even maintain the wallride's tranny (not that it's entirely spirit's fault, since it's super hard to do with fake snow). I guess i took it for granted, but i want a plain old flat rail bad. really bad. I don't want to talk about it anymore, too frusterated. thats my vent. thanks for reading.
the thing about the landing is that the knuckle is so mellow. it gets steep but not until half way down the thing. So it sounds like some people do like it, or at least the idea of it, just not the set up as it is. It seems like the thing rarely gets hit except for the some spring days. Is that really worth taking that much space and snow for a couple of days or a couple of hits? I don't know..
I think that they should go back to the 2 hits again. Make the little left one a tad longer, and make the big one in between the size of the other 2 now. Last year was good I thought, don't know why they can't stick with a good thing.
And they need to make that landing a little less steep. You have to have your speed dialed, or else your way overshooting those things. They could have totally built the trannies like 10 feet uphill and made a better, less steep landing. And why the hell dont they have a better rail set up/selection??? They have so much potential, but when they do set something up, its some lame ass ride on.
But I feel bad complaining because overall Spirit has a pretty dank setup....although it could be soooooo much better with so little effort on their part....
i say they have one big, wide landing, on the right you have a jump that is somewhere between the size of the two last year, then on the left there is like an up rail or something that will shoot you onto the landing
i don't know about making the landing less steep. i know i've seen it done, but i really can't imagine landing switch off big show. it's a solid impact enough as it is landing regular. I think it should be shorter too. so you can hit the first two jumps AT LEAST, and still be able to hit show. don't get me wrong (by my previous statements, or whatever), i'm happy with what spirit, but it could be way better.
Yeah its a hard landing because big show's take off is way to high and you freaking fall out of the sky on that thing. Less height of take off+slightly flatter landing =a great jump. Big show is good, but its not great. I actually prefer the right hand take off over big show, better suited for the landing imo.
