i dont feel it after anything particular but when i go inside and warm up after skiing park my lower back always hurts and it like doesnt want to bend to sit in chairs
exactly what I was going to say. crunches and sittups will 100% help. a bad back runs in my family so i started doing them regularly and it really really helps.
I guess on this one, as a paramedic, its not going to be take off or even the trick as much as it is the landing, basically a shock wave going up your legs, mid sect., then the spine, a compressed disc could be it if it was a minor compression, how ever it sounds like minor trama due to the sport you love, ie... if its bad go see your doctor
Well i used to be able to bench 230 when i was in weightlifting class. But i seriously havent done anything physically active for about a year other than skiing.
yea my back is sooo fucked...i have 5 herniated disks...the only thing i can really do is strengthen my core...but it kidnof sucks to know my back is going to be like that of an 80 year old when im fucking 40
doesnt really happen to me
but one time when i was like 7 i was jumping on this mattress and like i was just jumping and out of no where my back like felt like it collaspsed and i went into tears cus it was so pain full but then it went away
I found when I was 18 that I had a cracked vertebrae and a herniated disk. No idea how I got them..just had shit load of pain playing sports. The neurosurgeon said I'd probably never ski again and suggested I take up swimming. I wanted to kill myself.....that was a few years go.. I got a really good physical therapist and did tons of core strength and flexibility and now it only affects me a little bit..like if I have a really bad case on a jump, or if I do too many bumps.
strengthen your core, generally back problems come from your core not being able to take all the stress so it is transferred to your back (at least I think, that's what I've been told and it makes some sense, so just do some work outs for your back and your core). or from wearing outrageously orange suits.
Do not just focus on your back, also focus on the abs and oblikes. Also the stronger your abs are, the less pressure is put on your weeaker lowerback muscles and spine. also, try not to sit akwardly. Also, eat chicken. It helps relieve the stress.
