Parks in europe

Good news...the alps have seen a lot of fresh snow since January so lack of snow is no longer a worry; chamonix for example has 3 metres of base on the highest runs.  I'm not big into park myself but I'm pretty sure you'll realise pretty quickly that our parks just don't compare to the US or Canada, we're still years behind.  That said, there are a few good parks kicking around.  This website should tell you all you need to know:

dude i was skiing knee deep freshies of brevent on monday! not exactly sure but cham was schuduled for more snow this week!

for the first time ever cham also built a park :O some pretty tech rails if that's your thing and a very standard jump line. if you're really desperate for a great park head to laax they aren't far behind america/canada.

the parks in italy are poor, chamonix is likely to have a good park and it is close

Val d'Isere has a good park, some good kickers there, rails are good, good atmosphere and there is a short drag lift to take you back up. The pipe there is shit, faces the wrong direction, in the afternoon one side is icy and the other is slush. tignes has a good pipe and a good park.

Val park tends to be closed till about 12 tho. swiss alpes are a long way from italy, verbier and zermatt are likely to be pretty good

^Yeah Val park was good a couple of weeks ago and they were still building it then.

laax has the hottest park in europe right now!

i was in la plagne 2 years ago and they had a really good park

check laax. its pretty sick for europe.

Val d'isere/tignes there both on the same pass, chamonix is small but why would you want to hit the park, laax is just a obvious choice.

Laax has the best park but it's ridiculously far from Aosta.

I think you're best of going to Avoriaz/Les Crosets. It's not much further than Chamonix. This area has 7 parks including the best superpipe in France and it's pretty much as good as Laax. Snowzone (avoriaz) and Superpark (les crosets) are where freestyle pretty much started in Europe with Candide, Mik D, Romain DeMarchi, etc.. it's a sick spot for park riding it blows Val d'Isere away. The Avoriaz park stays excellent until the end of April.

The nearest from Aosta would be to drive to Breuil-Cervinia (its less than an hour) you take the gondola up and hit the Zermatt park. It's not as good as Avoriaz but the pipe is better, the park is never crowded and its very well shaped. Especially with these hot temperatures the Zermatt winter park is at 3200m it will never get slushy. Basically you will get one big air, two smaller kickers, a bunch of rails and a superpipe, all perfectly shaped daily and only a handful of people sessioning it. Only downside is the skipass is twice as expensive as Avoriaz.

dont know when you are planning to go, end of this month is the x box big day out at val, the kicker isn't in the park but they are likely to do the park up a fair bit for that event.

Never skied the chamonix park, but i wouldn't think that it is very good as you go to chamonix to ski the off piste/bc, as it is prob the best in europe. Tignes and Val (espace killy) are quite a long way from italy, but not as far as laax!!!

Chamonix "park" suck, but why in the hell you need a park in Chamonix, go down the Valle Blanche and you will see what I mean. It's 22km ungroomed, unpatrolled,run.
