I am about to start riding soon, I broke it 3 weeks ago today. To to bad a break, no surgery. The bone is not exactly straight any more and I still have a huge lump. But I think I'm close to riding, like next Friday, that will be 4 weeks. When you guys broke your collar bone when did you start riding, and what kind of riding(just cruising, some park)? And did you re-injure your self? How long till you thought you were 100%

never broke my clavicle before but, i have heard it's a nagging injury...
i would consider skiing hard but not to the point where you might take a hard bail.
Keep up the working out and physio and what not to keep it tough, ya know..

collar bone. it's actually very easy to break. if your just cruising th groomers with the chicas i'd say you're golden, but i wouldn't charge to hard, especially in the park.

i broke mine and just waited for the doctor to say i could ride and never had a problem (knock on wood) so just go as hard as you are comfortable dont let anyone on here convince you otherwise

yeah dude idunno if its worth it maybe like going out once every 2 weeks cus you can seriously rebreak that shit
i went skiing on an ankle that had Just barely healed to the point were i could walk on it and stuff well i went skiing at boreal and re broke it being retarded trying switch 270 onto a cbox and catching an edge cus i thought it was fine
i know an ankle is diff than a collar bone but still if you fall on your side you cud fuck something up and have to end up waiting twice as long or have it heal all fucked up like what happend to me

i'm at 30 days since i broke mine. i'm waiting until march before i ride a few days a week... and if i go up in the meantime it'll be groomers and camera bitching, nothing more. so what i'm saying is be patient, because really, you've got nothing to lose and more to gain if you're sitting it out a few extra days.

but... why? going real slow is no fun. i went up once, a week afterwards, for one run. the mountain views and fresh air were sweet. but the skiing was not all that enjoyable; it was more stressful knowing if something happened my season could realistically be over. it should be an easy decision to make guys...

I skied at 4 weeks After I broke mine. hit a bump backwards, crashed, and actually reset the bone a bit better than it was...but that extended the healing time a few weeks. take er easy for a bit.
