I ordered a new kite(SS Fuel) for kiteskiing last friday from Real Kiteboarding out in cape hatteras North Carolina. They shipped it FedEx ground on monday...I have been tracking it online and it sat charlotte, NC for 2 days, now its sitting in grove City, OH for 2+ days.....WTF. I wanted to go riding this weekend with that kite. I never get my shit from FedEx on time. I was supposed to get it on thursday. Supposed to snow tonight and get windy tomorrow...damnit. They probably lost my kite.

and I live in Minnesota. I drive out to Cape hatteras every summer to go windsurfing...takes me about 26 hours to drive. I hate have spendy stuff just sitting on a truck someplace. I dropped about 1600 on a kite and some other kiting stuff. Thats a lot of money for me.

whatever, in december when it was snowing like never before in whistler, my 190 ninthward firstbloods were sitting untouched in a depot for 8 days in richmond bc, en route from vermont. 8 extra days on top of over 2 weeks before they moved. the combination of usps and canada post is by far the most god-awful way of shipping anything.

oh.

and purolator's ineffectiveness singlehandedly got me in pretty big trouble at work earlier this year. i sent off a package from whistler to west vancouver, which then took over a week to arrive. it had the owner of my company, a condo owner in our hotel, and a high status guest who was friends with said owner angry with the situation, and blaming me for using purolator! the biggest buzz kill of it all was when i got an angry phone from the owner call on a mid-week peak chair pow day off with the crew. nothing feels worse than being yelled at by the boss in a lift line on a pow day, knowing i'm going to get yelled at again when i get in at 3pm, and then having the boss bring it up again in my performance evaluation months later!

that's why i hate purolator.
