How come all we see now are the same over-hucked spins? What happened to frontflips and backflips and lincolns and such? I want so see some pro skiers actually try something unique that have never been done before. Im not saying that spinning isnt cool, i love spinning. But i want to see some more flips of cliffs and such.
I basically just would like to see some originality!

why dont you get out there and start throwing front flips and stop judging all these pros because they dont do what you want
like honestly i have had enough with people knocking on pros because they dont do what they want them to
if you want to see some changes do it yourself dont make it like pros are doing something wrong
so everybody on this site should be a little less talk ad allot more ski
all i have for every pro in this sport is respect they throw down like crazy they are out there progressing this sport look how far it came over the last 5 years
so all you kids who are working on your 360s stop complaining about spin to win
so just get out there and YOU do the changes you would like to see in the sport create your own style and feed of others and put your touch onto it
so dont talk down about the pros at all they are better then you and do alot more for the sport
GET OUT AND MAKE THE CHANGES YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOUR SELF
maybe someday you will be able to be criticized by some joey for them not liking your steezzzzz

you get me wrong man. I have repsect for evey one of them. I havent dissed any of them ever. I just stated how i love to see flips & shit. And every day i go out skiing i do my best to improve my skill so one day i can do flips off anything. (i attempt flips all the time already btw). I just like original shit, thats all. im not hatin on anyone

This is a good point. I see a lot of kids on the mountain these days wo can do switch 7s and corked 9s and shit all day but still cant do basic inverts. I can throw some cool corks and spins but nothing gets the crowd shitting their pants like my spread-eagle backflips and double backs. And wtf is with the contests that disqualify you for doing a straight back or front flip but have no problem with kids nearly destroying themselves trying to do the biggest spins they can off undersized jumps? When i see kids competing for the best switch 9 over a 25' table I think its f*%cked- Id much rather just see a clean 5 with a mellow rotation than some hucked 900 that has to be landed way down in the flat. I guess i just think the tricks need to fit the jumps. But then again what venue is going to build jumps big enoungh for switch 1440s?

every high north and coc update last summer almost half the pics were flips........
dumont at x did double front. wester and jon did kangaroo flips. rory does switch double back. then there's mike wilson-aka the king. that guy flips off everything. sammy did like 5 in a row on push. guy who made the thread is dumb

jon is one of my favorites because of his originality. The double front at the Xgames was one of the coolest things ive seen. who does switch double backs? ive never seen one. all im saying is my opinion is that i think spins nowdays are over rated.

pregression. this is where our sport is right now. 4 years ago lincol flips and front/back flips were in. Now big spins are in. Thats just the way things have happened.

landon gardner threw a huge superman front flip yesterday at the noram mogul champs at snowbowl on his way to second place. it was badass.
