i was wondering how  do you take the footage off of youtube , etc and then get it like into windows movie maker for example??i wanted to make an edit of all the top rated stuff and put it into one

i heard there was a way but youtube doesnt permit downloading to my understanding

Nope, no downloading from YouTube. Contact the people who posted the video to get the video. You should ask to use their stuff anyways.

eh i agree and disagree with this. getting permission is usually the best route to take, but there is the understood "found footage" practice. So long as you're not using all of someone elses work and calling your own, you can use other people's stuff without asking.
