Replying to Acting TOO Gangster...

This term comes out of my mom and my dad so so so much that I'm just fed up with it. I have a hat with a flat brim on it and the sticker on it still. My mom says that is acting gangster. ALL of my friends at school say I try and act black WAY to much...and I can't get new friends because no ones like the styles I like, or the music that I like. I'm just wondering on some opinions of things I could tell my parents, friends and even girlfriend that IM NOT TRYING TO BE GANGSTER AT ALL!! Thanks
