im 5'8" weigh 145 lbs and expect to add on between 5 to 10 pounds of weight this year with increased conditioning/strength training. will they break if i ride pipe, kickers, and the odd park rail here or there?
If you are sloppy with your switch landings, you WILL break the breaks and baseplate in the process. Otherwise these are bombproof bindings. I ski a pair on a pair of Seth'ss that go all over the mountain including park and drops, and have no problems with them.
Well Im 6'4" and 190... consider myself strong... and I just got a set of these to mount on my next set of park skis... so they better be bombproof hahah
ive been on mine for 15 days or so ive had a couple pre releases but only on groomer 180's, skied pretty hard on them. if you have heavy skis like karmas then get them but if you have solamons or surface get the look/rossis
Hah, you've got to be fucking shitting me retard. Salomons are one of the most reliable bindings on the market, and have been since probably before you started skiing.
Markers are the kings of pre-releasing, and people on here just like Looks because they make "jib specific" bindings. How a binding can be jib specific is beyond me - personally there's almost nothing that can improve usage in park skiing other than releasing at weird angles that only park skiers can cause. Turntable heels somewhat did this, but never perfected it, and the new PX series doesn't do it all.
Im not a fan oz the Z Ive had the 910, 912 and 914 and never had problems and are super light compared to the looks and rossis, i like them more then my race 150s, but ive yet to try the FKS
dunno about the z, but 810 series= plastic that hold the heel piece= major shit when mising landing. and the adjustable toe piece is shit and gets loose...do not like to feel my boot moving while upside down. crnaked up the din to the max and easy to loose...but they have been in my garage for 2 -3 years, so maybe that is an issue too
They are nothing but trouble, ive broken 2 pairs already in about a month. Not durable at all. the heel peice is a joke along with the base plate. Never buying salomon bindings again.
