I thought of this and wondered if it had been done or if it was possible. What if you hit a jump and did a natural 180 and then in mid air changed spin direction and did a unnatural 180. The two 180's would cancel each other out and you would land regular not switch.
ive actually tried that on trampolines and stuff, but its hard... its possible in the tony hawk video game, but im not quite sure about real life. the best ive done is the 180, pause, then finish it for a 3.
Physically impossible. Someone may be able to turn their legs or upper body sort of like a shifty and do that, but to completely turn your entire body around and come back spinning the opposite way is against the laws of motion. It states that once an object is in motion (a person spinning, lets say, left) cannot change course or motion path until acted upon by another force. Since the person is the object that is in motion, force created by the moving object(such as the person throwing their arms in an attempt to change spinning direction) is impossible. Look it up kids.
the force that made him spin one way in the begining was not very powerful, and his flailing arms were able to overcome the force of the rotation and kick him back around the otherway. it doesnt alter physics. there wasnt a "rotation" the other way he was just able to turn around b/c of the counter force created.
you forgot the "unless acted upon by another force" and that other force will always be there in an open environment its called gravity and even tho it seens small you would be able to "push" off the gravity
