hey i am putting a new hardrive into an apple i purchased is it best left to the professionals?? or could i do it on my own?? bad idea? just wanted to hear ur input, thanks

if it's still under warranty then let apple do it. I believe it voids the warranty if you do it yourself.

I'd be pretty surprised if the iBook was still under warranty. Unless you have applecare I guess. Apple makes it pretty difficult to replace stuff. If you aren't afraid of opening your computer I'd go for it though.
