hello. i got a concussion on sunday, i was unconcious for 10 minutes i think and today my docotr says i shouldnt ski for 2 weeks. my break is next week so this really sucks. has anybody had a concussion here before and would it be alrigh to ski after 1 week in stead of 2?

Depends on the level of the concussion..

I played rugby in college, so with that, skiing, and DH bikin I've had like 11...

If it is one of your first, just be very careful, and wear a helmet.. Try to avoid Mach speeds as well..

take your doctor seriously even if you feel well your head is not ready for lots of motions and you can end up doing more damage. trust me i have eough:

i got a concusion in hockey. i was fucked up so bad. i thought i was in a mall shopping. could play for liek 2 months.

i would say, its all going to depend on how you feel. if you feel 100% normal then go ski. but obviosly still take it easy

yo me and my friends were like the first ones on the scene when you were out cold, you were on the top of the lip just lying there for awhile and we were like o shit, you didnt even remember how you got there or anything, sucks you got a concussion, take it easy bro

If you were out cold for 10 minutes i bet that was atleast a level 3. I had a level 3 once and i was trippin for like 5 days. I couldn't have skied if i wanted to. Don't you feel fucked up?

i got a concussion from hockey too. and i 'suffered' temporary memory loss for about 2 days...

i was told i was screaming at my dad because i thought he wanted to kidnap me. i didn't remember who he was.

exactly ive been out for about -7 and skied downhill mountain biked the day after.. or i would have.. but i also had a liter of blood in a hematoma and wiht my blood condition i really couldnt get hurt again for a couple weeks but if you were out for 10 listen to he doc..he went to college

10 MINUTES!!!!!!!! you could have died... ive had two both considered serious and i was out for like 10 seconds MAX on both of them.. and if you get a second concussion withtin the two week period your chances of going brain dead are higher than not.
