i can get a pd 150 for cheaper than a 2100, i hear the pd is more for studio type shooting because of better audio. other than that is the picture any different?

well i just bought the vx2000 and its mad sweet, there isnt a huge noticible difference between the 2100 and the 2k so id go with the vx2000 rather than the 2100

theres a thread like this on Skate perception. you may want to check that out. one thing to note is that the PD has a black and white view finder. however on SP people are saying black and white makes focus and exposure easier to set

The PD150 is the pro version of the vx2k. The PD170 is the pro version of the 2100. The only real difference between the pd's and vx's are the audio inputs. For skiing the extra weight and such might be an annoyance but its hardly noticable. May I ask what price you're getting them for?
