New Cell Phone

I have Verizon and it's time for me to upgrade, and I get $100 off for a new phone. I'm not sure what I want to get - anyone have any suggestions on a nice, semi-bullet proof phone?

I went in the otehr day to get one with that 100$ off, and you can get the new razor, but you need to sign up for another 2 years in order to get the 100$ rebate thing. The cell phone buisness is all a scam you know... there's always a catch. they wouldn't be giving out 100$s for nothing... That is, unless you want to be on the planf or another two years, then knock yourself out, the new razor is pretty sick actually, and it has a 50 dollar mail-in rebate, so in the end you only have to pay 10 dollars for it

The Razr for Verizon sucks. I have it and i hate it. Like it freezes up alot and freaks out sometimes. But the black inside is tight.

I have the chocolate and I like it. The only bad parts are the sensory buttons on the top, if you put it in your pocket before the buttons arent highlighted, you may call someone. But I have dropped it a few times when I was a little drunk and it still works fine. Nice camera on it too.

Get the v3c and then flash it to the alltel firmware.  Its what i did.  It gives it the original Moto UI.  ie. gets rid of the ugly red bars.

i have this to and i agree plus the mp3 player freezes all the time and its so annoying to put music onto...but phone wise its dope

just give up verizon sucks. their coverage is pretty good but the software they put on their phones is really shitty and annoyin and slow. any choice is a bad choice. but get the motorola q.

i dunno ive heard bad things about razr's but ive had mine and beat the piss outta it and it upheld pretty good, but the cold weather kinda screws with it

I decided I want to keep my plan because I get great service where ever I go, no matter if I'm out in the field doing archaeology or under some powerlines in the city, or up in the mountains skiing. I don't really care if I can use internet and stuff, but I wanted to know what the experiences were with the mp3 feature on the chocolate, since I'm too poor to buy an Ipod. :P

Razor is a piece of shit, I've owned Motorola, LG, and Samsung...and Samsung has held up the best, my old one (A670, not made anymore) was fucking bulletproof, I put it in the washing machine, dropped it in water multiple times, threw it across a park, and generally abused it and it help up for soooo long. Then I got the SCH-a950, and it's really nice too, haven't had it as long, but last week I ran over it, and yes you read that right, I RAN OVER IT, and the screen cracked but it still works fine. I like my Samsungs, they are the best as far as I'm concerned.

now for the phone part...

if your looking for something that you just want to hold up good i wouldnt get a pretty expensive phone from my experiences they dont hold up as good...just get a midline phone that 60-80 bucks and those seem to be basically bulletproof
