ok so its my first year freestyle skiin. i have gotten down grindin regular flat rails and slant rails with out a kink in them. yesterday itried a kink rail for like an hour an all i accomplished was kickin the shot out of my self. my ribs feel like shit and my hip is all blue and purple. i was gonna ask fopr some help from the guys on my mountain but everytime i would try it the would like laugh amongst themselves and then do it and ski off as i was hkin up. all my buds are snowboarders too. so i was jus wonderin if any one on here could give me some poointers on hittin up a kink rail that starts flat then goes down then is flat again. thanx for any help.
well a flat down flat rail is a tough one first go a little slower than normal, u can do the first flat but on the down lean a little forward and on the second kink the flat again almost lift your front ski a little and dont lean back
For starting, try to keep your shoulders more square with the bottom of the hill, and keep your hands in front of you (pointed downhill). that should help you keep your wight forward so you don't slip back.
look at the end of the rail. its my 1st year too and i didnt have to do this to do easier rails when i was learnin. but on tougher rails i find this makes a HUGE difference
