McCain has been disowned by his party and by the funding that usually gets Republicans through primaries, and that's because he won't sign a gay-marriage ban amendment. Sadly enough, unless he's got some secret funds up his sleeves, he won't be able to get through the primaries.

think he'll get the Republican nom because he's shot the Repubican
party in the foot too many times. Edwards is my bet for the Democrat ticket, and the Republican ticket is still in the air.

im a political science major. what i meant was that the dems will win because recent elections have proven that the US is getting tired of the republicans. History has proven that when it comes to the presidency the party, if a party is controlling the senate and house of reps they almost always win. People naturally want a government that works so they consistently elect presidents from the same party that are controlling both the house of reps and senate. So you are right, it doesn't mean that they a dems will get the presidency as well but history has consistently proven that thats the case.

Well if you must know my mom used to work for george voinovich when he was govenor of ohio still knows him...while he serves as a US senator...my father went to high school and is still close with congressman pat tiberi...

I have also never used the word corrupt...My point is politics is just that do and say what needs to be done to look good...in reality they only do things that benefit them...The senator who is bravely fighting insurance companies in mississippi hes such a good guy and cares about those ppl getting their money right? Sure im not sayin hes not but he was one of those whos house was destroyed and his claim was denied by state farm...thus leading him to use his power to fight back and sure some others benefit as well...and i could give you hundreds of other examples but i wouldnt want to fog up ur optimism

I like Obama because of all his talk on reforming the government. Getting rid of earmarks on bills and wasteful spending. I still need to hear more before I make my decision. In some instances, it's easier to see the overall picture of another country's government if you're not in it. You can see the whole thing (if you look hard enough and do enough research) without being AS influenced as somebody who is under said government. So no, I don't think it's strange at all.

i'm done. this is ridiculous. i think you guys really should go back and read what i posted, but really read it. i believe that religion should be in our government to a certain extent, but it is "one nation under God." i never said that i hated or disliked Muslim people, just some of their views on certain subjects. they are a very nice people and they believe very deeply in their religion, i think every religion believes in God. (notice i said God and not god.) it would be like...i dislike some views that the Jews have, or Islamic, or whatever.
