I just wrote huge review, and when i clicked to submit, it made me log in again, and then I lost all my shit. So here is a crappy version.
Got them yesterday, mounted them with solly's on the line. Took them out this morning. Skied from 9-4. There was 3-4 inches of fresh, the first snow in a while. Skis are very soft, as soft as pimp daddies or softer. 115mm waist, 142mm tip, 139mm tail. "Elliptical" sidecut. Eric pollard designed this to feel like a snowboard, and it does.
The Bases are pretty sweet.
I was surprised how good they performed on hard snow. It doesnt feel like a huge ski when skiing groomed. Carves really well but gets floppy at speed. Easy to butter around. Nice and poppy for jumps. Very stable and easy to ski switch.
My everyday ski is a Blizzard Titan 9, and powder ski is 2 pairs of big daddies...one with freerides one with race bindings. I am not used to soft skis, and thought they would be too soft, but are actually not bad. Its not a ski for going super fast, but is a fun all around ski and would be very fun in deep snow, but not for the steeper lines. Super deep, pillows, backcountry htis, this is the perfect ski. Very stable landing big jumps. Especially into softer snow.
Its pretty good as an all around ski, not just for deeper snow.
I was really surprised how much I liked this ski. I recomend anyone to try it, it is a really fun ski.
Here they are next to the BD's.
